Cascada Verde in Uvita is an easily accessible waterfall. Drive towards Uvita and turn left on the road right before the first BM supermarket. Continue on the dirt road for a while until you see a sign for Cascada Verde. There is a small charge to get to these falls. Bring your lunch and drink. You might end up staying longer than you think!

Manuel Antonio national park is good for a day trip. It's 45 minutes north towards Quepos. Take your crew up for lunch at the restaurant built out of an airplane and spend the afternoon on the beach where the waves are very tamed. Visit some art galleries.

Nauyaca Falls is beautiful but it’s hard to get to. The most common way is to go on horses. We can arrange for a local family that has a farm and gives horseback tours to Nauyaca with meals.


Selva Escondida is conveniently located by world-class paragliding site and tandem flights are available through reputable local professionals.

Selva Escondida has an average rainfall of 4,000-5,000 mm (157-197 inches), concentrated during the rainy seasons from mid-May through late-November. Selva Escondida has steep terrain. The combination of these two facts means there are many water ways including some small waterfalls and canyoning too.

The Main House has a smart TV, fiber optic internet, a full modern kitchen, swimming pool, gas grill and 4 bedrooms each with their own full bathroom.

5 minutes drive from our front gate, is the closer beach to our property. It's a long open beach with surfable waves. The community raised money every year to fund the lifeguards for the beach.

15 minutes north, has bigger waves and a decent beach scene with restaurants. You'll also find a small supermarket, bank with ATM, surf shops, etc.










Set over a water stream, El Manu was originally a restaurant known for its great food and one of the first places to have electricity in the area leveraging hydroelectricity. The space has been preserved and includes teak floor harvested onsite within Selva Escondida, reptile statues in the flowing water beneath El Manu. The rainforest immersion hovering above flowing water is ideal for yoga and meditation. Two plexiglass panels on the floor allows you to look down upon a flowing stream below.\r\n\r\nIt is very common to find blue morphos here in the morning, and is a stunning place during the raining season.

Villa Chill's Main House has an open floor plan in the kitchen, living room and dining room.

10 minutes north, is a very scenic small beach with waves crashing on rock formations on the beach. We love to take walks there with the kids and collect seashells.


Hiring a chef can be quite expensive in the area. We know a local chef that cooks Tico meals. It is best to make reservations as early as possible.




Fruit vendors have the best selection of fruits and are cheaper. There is one on the left side of the road as you are driving towards Uvita.

The two-story Studio serves many purposes.
The lower floor is a workshop studio with tools, a kitchen, tables, storage and restroom. This is where our staff hangs out.
The upper floor has a bedroom that can sleep 3-4 people and a large terrace that's been used for wedding dinners, yoga classes or as office space. It has sweeping views of the orchard and Pacific Ocean and internet connection.
The second floor can be rented out for retreat organizers or private chef who is looking for additional privacy.

There is a little fish stand in Dominicalito, located in the parking lot of La Macha restaurant, right across from the La Parcela restaurant’s entrance.

Howler monkeys live on our property. They travel around eating fruits and nuts from the trees. They\xa0travel in groups of 6 to 15 animals and during the right season pass through the trees near our house. Group males generally howl at dawn and dusk.


Give us a list of grocery and it will be there as you arrive at Villa Chill. Each trip to the supermarket is $30.

Sloths are very difficult to spot. They are slow, quiet and very well camouflaged. This one was found on our property.

The swimming pool has two levels - 1 foot deep and 5 feet deep. The shallow level is great for laying or sitting in on a hot day or for toddlers to learn to swim!\xa0 The views from the pool stunning overlooking the orchard and the Pacific Ocean.
