On Escaleras Road (20 minutes walk) Scala is an amazing gourmet fusion restaurant at Escaleras Village. Sibu Café Escaleras is a modern cafe open for breakfast, lunch & dinner at Escaleras Village. Jumanji Bar is a restaurant bar just below Selva Escondida's entrance. (10 minutes walk) Dominical (15 minutes north) Moromo Forneria is a new café with pizza right in the center of Dominical. It's a great place to check out the scene! El Rincon de Domi is a local restaurant with great Casado and the best shake! Great for a cheap meal after surfing. Fuego is where you want to be if you are looking for a lively scene. Live music on Friday night! Tortilla Flat is one of the few places right on the beach! Uvita (15 minutes south) Soda Ranchito Dona Maria is a hidden local place for great local food Alma Cocina opened in November 2025, is the latest trendy and fancy restaurent in a garden setting. Ojochal (40 minutes south - offers some fine dining and great French bakery in case you're in need of espressos & croissants) Exotica is a charming place owned by a French Canadian couple. Citrus is one of our favorite place to go for a special occasion. The food has been consistently good for the past 17 years!
