These terms govern use of SelvaEscondida.com, operated by Narrative Development SRL, a Costa Rican company. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

Website information

The site provides general information about Selva Escondida, Villa Chill, the surrounding area, and related services. We try to keep it accurate, but photographs, descriptions, availability, prices, routes, conditions, and amenities may change. Website content alone is not an offer, warranty, or confirmed reservation.

Reservations and payments

A direct reservation becomes binding only when Narrative Development SRL confirms it in writing and applicable payment requirements are met. Rates, deposits, occupancy, cancellations, refunds, damage, and other applicable conditions will be those stated in the reservation confirmation or agreement. Reservations or payments handled by an outside platform are also subject to that platform's terms and policies.

Guest responsibilities

Guests must follow Costa Rican law, property rules, occupancy limits, and reasonable safety instructions. Guests must supervise minors, respect neighbors, staff, wildlife, and property, and refrain from unlawful, dangerous, or disruptive conduct.

Selva Escondida is in a tropical, mountainous setting. Rain, roads, slopes, rivers, the ocean, wildlife, weather, utilities, and transportation can present risks or disruptions. Visitors are responsible for evaluating their fitness, equipment, vehicle, insurance, and travel plans and for following local warnings and instructions.

Third-party links and services

Links, videos, maps, tour operators, transportation providers, restaurants, booking platforms, and other third-party services are provided for convenience. Narrative Development SRL does not control or guarantee their content, availability, conduct, or services. Any transaction with a third party is between you and that party.

Acceptable use

You may not interfere with the site's operation or security; attempt unauthorized access; introduce malicious code; extract content abusively; impersonate another person; or use the site for fraud, spam, or unlawful activity.

Intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, the site's design, text, photographs, videos, marks, and other content belong to Narrative Development SRL or are used with permission. You may view the site for personal, noncommercial purposes. No other use, reproduction, or distribution is authorized without written permission.

Disclaimers and liability

The site is provided “as is” and as available. To the fullest extent permitted by Costa Rican law, Narrative Development SRL does not promise uninterrupted access or that all content will be error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Responsibility relating to a booked stay or service is also governed by the applicable confirmation or agreement and applicable law.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Costa Rica. Before starting formal proceedings, the parties will try in good faith to resolve a dispute through direct communication. Unresolved disputes will be heard by the competent courts of Costa Rica, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights.

Changes, severability, and contact
