Playa Hermosa
5 minutes drive from our front gate, is the closer beach to our property. It's a long open beach with surfable waves. The community raised money every year to fund the lifeguards for the beach.

Playa Dominical
15 minutes north, has bigger waves and a decent beach scene with restaurants. You'll also find a small supermarket, bank with ATM, surf shops, etc.
Playa Dominicalito
10 minutes north, is a very scenic small beach with waves crashing on rock formations on the beach. We love to take walks there with the kids and collect seashells.
Whale's Tail
You must visit the beach that forms on the\xa0Whales Tail ("Bellena")\xa0at low tide. Driving south, it's just after Uvita on the right. \xa0You can see this amazing geological\xa0formation from our Villa Chill and throughout Selva Escondida. During low tide, a sand bar appears for 3 hours connecting to a rocky island. \xa0Wonderful for kids & parents. \xa0Ballena has the most\xa0gentle waves suitable for relaxing in the water or beginning body surfing. The beach also usually has sand dollars. This is a 25 minutes drive and I highly recommend it! Try to avoid the weekends as it get crowded. Remember to go during low tide and pack water & snacks.
